CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA)-- One woman is dead and another is in serious condition after a shooting early Sunday.
Prince George's County Police say the two women were shot while in a SUV on the 4600 block of Heath Street in Capitol Heights. The women then drove themselves to the 9000 block of Central Avenue.
When police arrived they declared one victim dead at the scene and the other was sent to Prince George's County Trauma Center with serious injuries. The SUV had bullet holes in the body and a window was completely shot out.
PG Police say the shooting was domestic in nature and that the victim identified the suspect but no arrest has been made.
Darlene Carroll is a neighbor and says, "to see something like this happen it's crazy."
She says one of the women shot has a young son who lives in a boarding home on Heath Street near Marlboro Pike.
"what is he going to do when he comes home today. I'm more worried about her son."
Carroll says one of the victims works at a nearby strip club and had witnessed her in an argument with her boyfriend.
Carroll also says she had just moved into the neighborhood a couple of months ago.
