COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WUSA) -- A suspect is in custody after a reported attempted robbery at gunpoint at the College Park Metro station garage Friday, according to Metro Transit Police.
A report of the attempted armed robbery was received by Metro Transit Police at around 1:15 p.m. The victim reported that two males showed a weapon and demanded a backpack on the stairwell of the Metro garage, but no property was taken.
At 2:15 p.m., according to a Metro PIO, Metro Transit Police received a report of a man matching the victim's description of a suspect standing on the College Park Metro platform.
Police responded and after a brief struggle, arrested the man and recovered a BB gun. No shots were fired and no one was injured.
