WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Filling your prescriptions can take a real dent out of the monthly budget. Starting this Sunday, Wegmans is offering one way to cut some of those costs.
From August 26th through April 27th, Wegmans will launch a new program to provide free generic Lipitor. The popular drug treats high cholesterol.
The offer covers a 90 day tablet supply of Atorvastatin.
You can get that script filled or refilled at Wegmans locations.
The family owned grocery chain also plans to end a program for free generic oral antibiotics. Those drugs will now cost $4.
