(WUSA) -- Virginia State Police says officers were called to the scene of a pedestrian struck at 7 a.m. Tuesday on the eastbound lanes of I-66 just west of Route 286/Fairfax County Parkway.
A pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
By 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, two lanes re-opened to traffic. At 10 a.m. all the eastbound I-66 were reopened.
