Paul Whitehead is managing editor of the European Policy team in London. He manages a team of six journalists both in London and Brussels working on titles including EU Energy, International Gas Report and Renewable Energy Report.
Paul's areas of expertise are European Union energy policy and renewable energy. In the past he has covered the European carbon emissions market and retail energy markets.
Prior to joining Platts in 2001 he worked for Financial Times Energy and before that Reed Business Information. He has also served as an elected representative (Councillor) on Bedford Borough Council, holding posts in the shadow cabinet. Paul holds an MA in International Business and Languages (Spanish and French) from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
