Leticia Vasquez is an associate editor at Platts, working with the natural gas team's Platts Forward Curve. In her role with the Platts Forward Curve team, Leticia produces independent assessments of swaps based on market activity at 21 key trading hubs and explains price movements and market developments through quality market commentary.

Leticia began her career at Platts in 2005, when she was hired by the electricity team to cover daily markets and news. Leticia crossed over to the natural gas team in 2010 to cover the West coast daily markets before joining the Platts Forward Curve in April 2011.

Leticia has served as chair for the Texas regional network of McGraw-Hill's Women's Initiative for Networking and Success since 2010 and co-founded CSI: Platts, a Houston-based initiative that strives to foster interpersonal and professional growth among employees through community service and social networking opportunities.

Prior to joining Platts, Leticia served as editor of the faculty and staff newspaper of the University of Houston, Campus News. She also worked as an editor at The Pasadena Citizen, a community newspaper serving a suburb of Houston.

Leticia was among the second class of employees in Platts' Editorial Abroad program, traveling to London in 2008 for a month-long stint working on the steel desk. She also is a member of the Heritage Plaza Toastmasters club, where she serves as the 2011 vice president of education.

Leticia holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Houston.
